Program Description

Fashion Design is a creative program that teaches how clothes and style are imagined, designed, and produced. You will study fashion illustration, pattern-making, sewing and garment construction, textiles and materials, fashion history and cultural dress, digital design (CAD), and basic marketing and portfolio development. The course prepares you for careers such as fashion designer, stylist, pattern maker, garment technologist, visual merchandiser, and roles in media like fashion writer, creative director, museum curator, or art teacher. This program encourages creativity, practical skills, and an understanding of Ghanaian and global fashion, helping you build a strong portfolio and begin internships or small business ventures while still in SHS.
